AORA LACTA DUO
Enhance Your Digestion and Ease Lactose Intolerance Symptoms
An effective solution for lactose intolerance symptoms and for the maintenance of microbial balance.
Lactose intolerance and its prevalence
Lactose intolerance is due to a decrease in the activity of the lactase enzyme present in the intestinal microvilli or a deficiency of said enzyme, responsible for hydrolyzing lactose into simpler sugars so that they can be absorbed and used as a source of energy. This disorder mainly presents digestive symptoms.
Thus, lactose intolerance is a disorder that has a variable prevalence, independent of ethnic group, sex and age. Worldwide, it is estimated that around 2/3 of the adult population suffers from this disorder. It mainly occurs in Asian individuals, affecting between 90 and 100% of their population.
Lacta Duo: Comprehensive Digestive Support
A unique dual-action formula that releases lactase and symbiotic at the right stages to improve lactose digestion and maintain gut health.
- Innovative dual release technology (CiC): Components released at the specific sites of action. Acid lactase is released in the stomach and the synbiotic is released in the intestine. Protection of probiotic from potential interactions with the rest of the components.
- Complete formula. Compared to other standard lactase products in the market, Lacta Duo counts with a synbiotic (probiotic + prebiotic).
- Double action. Besides covering lactase deficiency, the synbiotic contributes to manage gastrointestinal LI-associated symptoms and maintain gut microbial balance.
- Carefully selected ingredients. Lactase is able to function at acid pH, advancing lactose digestion to the stomach. Our selected probiotic counts with beta-galactosidase activity, helping to ferment lactose.
Advanced Lactose Digestion Technology
Lacta Duo’s unique dual-capsule system optimizes enzyme release for efficient lactose breakdown.
- An external capsule that delivers the ingredient at the gastric stage: External supply of the enzyme to aid lactose digestion. Lactase is active at the low pH conditions of the stomach to advance lactose digestion to this stage.
- An internal capsule that delivers the ingredients at the intestinal stage: Bifidobacterium longum regulates metabolic activity of the colonic microbiota and alleviates symptoms in lactose-intolerants. Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) stimulate growth and keep the probiotic in good condition in the gut.
- The cap in cap system protects the symbiotic from potential interactions among components.
Improves digestive health with clinically proven results
Lactose Study
Methods:
96 confirmed H2 positive, lactose-intolerant patients experiencing GI symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, bloating were enrolled. All of them received β–galactosidase from Aspergillus oryzae at a standard dose.
Results:
The administration of lactose shows:
- Lactase is effective in decreasing H2 levels and cumulative values of breath H2 excretion (40%).
- Regarding gastrointestinal symptoms, a significant reduction was observed.
Probiotic Study
Methods:
11 lactose-intolerant patients were administered with Bifidobacteirum longum/day in three intervals plus yogurt for 2 weeks.
Effects on colonic microbiota and gastrointestinal symtom scores were assessed after supplementation.
Results:
The administration of the probiotic Bifidobacterium longum:
- Modifies the amount and metabolic activities of the colonic microbiota with beneficial outcomes.
- Alleviates symptoms in lactose-intolerant patients.
How Does LACTA DUO Works?
What is LACTA DUO used for?
Who is LACTA DUO for?
For lactose-intolerant or lactose-sensitive individuals to aid in lactose digestion and support gut microbiota balance.
How does LACTA DUO work?
A probiotic-prebiotic combination enhances lactose digestion by increasing beta-galactosidase (lactase) activity, ensuring proper breakdown of lactose into glucose and galactose, and alleviating intolerance symptoms. Lactase supplementation helps individuals with lactose intolerance digest dairy products more efficiently, reducing discomfort such as bloating, diarrhea, and gas.
How to take LACTA DUO?
Take 1 to 2 capsules per meal depending on the lactose content to be consumed at the beginning o each meal.
What is a probiotic, prebiotic and symbiotic?
A probiotic is a live microorganism that, when consumed in adequate amounts, provides health benefits by improving or restoring the gut microbiota balance.
A prebiotic is a type of non-digestible fiber that serves as food for beneficial gut bacteria, promoting their growth and activity. Prebiotics help improve gut health, enhance digestion, and support the immune system by stimulating the balance of the gut microbiota.
A symbiotic is a combination of both.
Does LACTA DUO have side effects?
According to the available technical information, these ingredients are well tolerated at the indicated doses. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
